Day Break Parfaits

(Makes 6 servings)

1 Quart (4 Cups) Our Family® Low-Fat Vanilla Yogurt

1 Cup Cinnamon-Cereal Crunch (see below)

2 Cups Cut-Up Fresh Fruit or Berries (Kiwi, Strawberries, Raspberries, etc.)

Layer yogurt, Cinnamon-Cereal Crunch and fruit in 6 dessert glasses. Top each with a small amount of Cinnamon-Cereal Crunch. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate up to 24 hours. 

Cinnamon-Cereal CRUNCH TOPPING

(Makes 3 cups)

3 Cups Our Family® Cinnamon Swirl Bites Cereal, finely crushed

2 Tablespoons firmly packed  Our Family® brown Sugar

¼  Cup cold Our Family® Butter or Margarine

Heat oven to 350˚F. In a medium bowl, stir together crushed Cereal and Brown Sugar.  With a pastry blender, cut in Butter until mixture is crumbly. Press mixture evenly into an ungreased, 13x9-inch baking pan. Bake for 7 to 9 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly. Stir to break into pieces; cool completely. Store in an airtight container. Top yogurt, ice cream or pudding with crunch. 

Nutrition Notes: These delicious parfaits are low in fat and rich in bone building calcium and can be served as a healthy breakfast, afterschool snack or dessert.
